| Long story short: I had a completely functioning aftermarket Sony stereo. I installed 3 electric gauges (including a LC-1 w/ gauge) and tapped off the clock power, as there is a switched power and battery connection there. Anyway, the gauges seem to work fine, but my radio started ticking as soon as I turn it on. I can hear the radio okay when I turn it up, and the ticking almost disappears, but basically the loudness of ticking is constant, and it is something like 10-20 clicks a second. So long as the volume is sort of low, the ticking is very prevalent. The only thing I was thinking is that maybe I need to spruce up my ground. There were two cables behind the dash (I think OEM) that were previously grounded to the back of my radio with a screw. I want to add that I recently just switched to a JVC and have the exact same issue.
